HeyBlinki docs
Make your first creation.
Start with a template, make it yours, and bring it to life in Canvas and Compose.
Your workspace
Sign in with Google to save projects to your account. In your workspace, open a saved project, search your projects, or choose New project to begin.
You can also explore an unsaved draft without signing in. Download a project backup before closing or clearing your browser if you want to keep that work.
To delete a project you own, use the trash button beside its project card or Recent projects entry, then confirm the deletion. Download a backup first if you may need the project again. Projects shared with you cannot be deleted from your account.
Start with a template
Visit Templates, preview a design, then choose Use this template. Text, timing and media layers open in the editor so you can change them individually.
Select text to edit its message and style. Select an image or video and use Replace media to swap the material while keeping its placement and animation. A shorter replacement may shorten the clip; review the timeline afterward.
Try Prompt to creation for a typed prompt, cursor press and product-video reveal. Its typing sounds are separate clips: retime them if you change the typing pace.
Arrange in Canvas
Switch to Canvas to lay out your material. Select an item to move, resize or rotate it. Use its properties to make precise adjustments, and keep related elements together as you build the design.
Use Canvas for the arrangement. Select an item and choose Compose to add it to the timeline, then switch to Compose to work on the sequence and timing.
Open CanvasAnimate in Compose
Select a layer in the canvas or timeline. Set when it starts and how long it lasts, then use its animation controls to shape the movement. Drag the playhead to inspect a moment or press Play to review the sequence with audio.
Use Split at the playhead to divide a supported selected layer. Ask HeyBlinki also offers editing shortcuts such as Add text, Background blue and Make vertical; choose a suggestion and send it to apply the edit.
The promo builder can turn a script into an editable starting point. Template mode works without an AI provider. Optional AI planning, narration alignment and background rendering are available only when the builder shows them as enabled.
Open ComposeSave and export
Sign in to keep a saved project in your workspace. Use Download backup (.json) from the project controls for a local copy of the editable document, and Open backup to restore it. Keep your original media files too: a project backup is not a copy of every linked asset.
In Compose, choose Export to create an MP4 where your browser supports the required encoder. Keep the tab open until it finishes, and review the exported picture and sound before sharing. If export reports a missing or inaccessible media file, restore or replace that source and try again.
Make a screen recording
Open Record to capture your screen or import an MP4 or WebM. Choose webcam and microphone before recording; each device requires your approval. Recording stops after two minutes and media is limited to 256 MB. No media is uploaded by the recording editor.
Add a background, adjust padding and corners, then add zooms, annotations and music. Select a timeline piece to edit its start, length or speed. Drag screen pieces to reorder them, or use the arrow buttons. Zoom, annotation and music pieces can be dragged along their own tracks; numeric fields offer the same controls without dragging.
Webcam and microphone remain separate from the screen and follow its cuts and speed. Dynamic bubbles shrink during zooms. Speed changes also change audio pitch. Zooms and annotations keep their timeline positions when you trim or reorder the screen.
Browsers do not provide global click or pointer tracking, so web and imported recordings preserve their captured cursor and use manual zooms. HeyBlinki for Windows 0.3 or later adds cursor-free monitor capture, smooth editable cursor motion, click emphasis and automatic zoom suggestions from clicks. Native capture is limited to 720p at 15 FPS, with microphone audio rather than system audio; protected content, HDR and GPU overlays may not capture correctly.
Use Save project to download a .heyblinki file containing the original media, pointer samples and timeline. Open project restores it on another computer. Keep this file before closing the page: recordings are not autosaved to your account. HeyBlinki recording files are not compatible with .recordly. Export MP4 renders the current edit locally; keep the tab open and use Chrome or Edge with H.264/AAC encoding support.
Only record material you have permission to share. Close private windows and notifications before selecting a monitor. Stop recording in the app or with the sharing indicator; Cancel discards the current capture and releases its devices.
